| What is the difference between an au-pair and a nanny? |
This really depends on which country you are in when asking the question! |
In the USA, nanny and aupair are more or less the same thing and usually |
American families intepret an aupair as someone from abroad. Whilst in |
UK, a nanny has to be NNEB qualified and childcare is the chosen career |
for British nannies. In Europe it is a bit of both. |
For aupairs going to the USA, at least 200 hours of childcare experience |
is required, whilst in Europe aupairs not required to have any experience. |
