We are modern family, both parents are working and the kids go to school. I am French and my husband Moroccan. Even if we are Muslims, we celebrate Christmas. We are Missy and Ron from Houston, Texas Usa. We have been living as expats in Rabat for nearly 2 years. Our first year we lived in Casablanca and this year we are living in Rabat. We plan to be in Morocco until June 2012, however my husband's company has extended our stay (if we agree) until June 2013. we have 3 wonderful children a son- 6 years, another son- 7 years and a daughter - 10 years. our family needs a nanny/au pair that truly loves children, isn't afraid to take initiative and is able to be loving but firm with regard to the children. the perfect candidate will have experience with kids, enjoy playing with them, and will have lots of energy and won't be afraid to take initiative when it comes to the children and house. We have hosted 3 au pairs and 1 nannies in our home both while living here in Morocco as well as when we lived in the states. They each become like family to us and we enjoyed learning about new cultures and sharing our home and family with them. We hope to find a nanny or au pair that will enjoy our family and will be a good fit for us. The perfect candidate will really love children and will help with all things that revolve around the children. For exapmle: helping the children get ready for school, guiding them in making their beds, preparing and feeding them breakfast and helping them load into the car so Missy and Ron can get out the door on time for the work and school drop off. In the afternoon our nanny/au pair would help supervise the children while the older ones do homework with mom one at a time or our nanny may need to help with homework if mom is not available. Our nanny will feed the children dinner (unless we eat as a family) and help get them bathed and ready for bed. She will also pack the children their lunches for school too. We need someone willing to do housework that is related to the children - the children's rooms, bathrooms and laundry are the main things but we also wish for our nanny to supervise the children's play area - guiding them to put their toys away (where they belong) and keeping the areas that the children play (inside and out) neat and tidy. Of course we ask that the nanny clean up after any child related meals or snacks too. There is not much household cleaning with the exception of help with laundry (no ironing is needed) as we have a wonderful housekeeper that lives with us too. Ideally our nanny/au pair will have experience working in this field and will wither currently be living in Morocco and would like to live like an American expat while in Morocco. It would be nice if our nanny is able to speak French. The children’s schedules are busy during the school year as they attend an full time American school, and are enrolled in piano lessons as well as sports after school and on the weekend. Since we only have one car for our family there is a lot of shuffling around and Missy is usually dropping kids off and running out the door with another. we are hoping that our nanny will become part of our family and will enjoy her time with us. We like to travel and we would like for our nanny/au pair to travel with our family whenever possible unless her passport/visa will not allow for this. We offer a furnished private room with shared bathroom. We offer wireless access if you have your own computer and if you do not have your own computer we offer the use of the family computer in the play/computer area. We only ask that computer time is limited to times that you are off work. We also offer a cell that must be rechared with calling cards. We will provide the first 100 dirhams of calling per month, however after it is finished our nanny/au pair would need to pay for the calling cards for the remainder of the month (we require our au pair to always have a charge on thier cell so they are able to contact us in case of an emergency. playroom/computer room has a televesion, which has cable/satelite television and is available for use when the children are in bed or when our au pair/nanny is off is off. ron works for a very large engineering firm that has a large project in casablanca. He works hard with long hours and does some traveling with his job. He starts the day early & is usually home by late evening. He likes to golf, fish, take walks, enjoy a good movie or live music and a good meal with a nice bottle of wine and good company. missy am an early childhood teacher but will be staying home while we are in Morocco. I volunteer at the children's school as well as participate in other volunteering and charitable opportunities. I attend university classes on-line as I complete my teaching certification in science and Math. in her spare time shei enjoys running, cooking, reading, drawing and painting. ron & I enjoy entertaining in our home and tend to have many gatherings with friends and their families. We need a nanny that would embrace this sort of lifestyle - noisy, busy and at times a bit chaotic. the perfect candidate will fit in with our family, will really & truly love children & will became part of our family and enjoy their time with us. our ideal candidate would wish to stay a minimum of a 1 year but we would love a longer stay if it is possible. She will also enjoy large gatherings and parties as we tend to entertain quite a bit and we need help supervising the children for these gatherings as well as for playdates after school and on weekends. the children's schedules shift with the seasons (shool in & school out) & the differant activities we are involved in. Due to the schedule changing, we need a nanny that can be flexible and understand that even the best laid plans may not work out at times. we enjoy having our nanny join us on our family vacations -- all expenses paid as well as your typical paycheck! if you would like to learn more about us, let us know! All aspects of the job revolve around the children. Fixing children breakfast, packing lunches for them on school days, and preparing and feeding them dinner when needed (usually Missy prepares dinner during the week and they just need to be fed/served). Supervising and playing (engaging children ) after school and occasionaly help with homework if mom is not available. Basic upkeep and tidying of children's rooms, playroom, and other areas where the children play and hang out. Simple house hold help around the home Children's laundry and ironing of children's clothing when needed -- *I am happy to provide a more detailed description of daily life and duties if you request them. Days off are Sunday and during the school year once the children are off to school and their rooms are tidied and organized your time will be free until they return in the afternoon. Summers would give you Sunday and Monday off.
