we are a calm, loving family which values the simple things in life. a gentle daily rhythm is very important. our toys are mostly make of wood and fiber (wool, cotton, and play silks). we try to eat a natural (organic if possible) diet. outdoor play and imaginative play is very important, and we try to follow a waldorf/steiner education philosophy in our home. (if you don't know what waldorf education is but find the description of our home to be lovely, you are welcome to join us and learn all about it!) we love to travel and explore the world around us. ideally, our home is a peaceful, healing space which helps us each to grow in strength, confidence and wisdom.
- Wake up gently with children - Take them to/pick up from part time local preschool - Set good examples for them to model - Tell stories, sing songs, arts and crafts, outdoor play, take them for walks, light housekeeping which the children will participate/help/observe - Free time during day when they are at school, in evenings (after 5), and on weekends. - If weekend help is needed, you will be compensated for it.
