In the summer we are in a cottage on an island in Canada near a very small town. It is more relaxed, but you would be responsible for cleaning and keeping the kids busy in the morning - swimming etc.

We are a half Dutch, half-American home-schooling family. My husband teaches philosophy at a Catholic university in Florida. I home-school the middle three children, and would like to devote afternoons to writing and studying. We spend summers and early fall at our home in New Hampshire. We have done a lot of moving, including 8 years spent among three different countries in Europe (Liechtenstein, Austria and Holland), and are now looking forward to a more settled existence for the coming years, especially a more ordered routine in the home. Our oldest daughter is in school in New England. The second daughter is very sweet and cheery and loves to help around the home. The boys are good, kind and intelligent, but not always easy. What we want is a kind, mature woman to help us with the practical dimension of family life: organizing the housework and taking care of the baby while the rest of us are busy with home schooling.
Ideal would be work hours from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. then again 3 - 6, M - F. Occasional evening or weekend. Main duties would be caring for the toddler and attending to the housework, so mother is free to school other children; meal preparation for children; housework including wash and ironing. 8 hours days (8- 6 with 2-hour mid-day break), weekends, evenings free.

Our home has a casual, fun, cozy atmoshpere, with lots of noise. We rough house, laugh and jump on beds. Bobby works graveyard shift at the Hospital and needs to sleep while Tracy work days at a private school 9 to 5. Hope and Destiny are beautiful girls with little fingers in everything. Joshua is a lving boy and prides himself on helping. We would like to put the children into some activities, but have had no available free time to do so.

Our family is very loving. We are young parents so we have very busy schedules we try to keep up with and still find time to spend quality time together. We have tried daycares and we felt they were not suitable for my child, we have been disapponted with their care of our child. We need somone Mon-Friday but not necessarily every day. At least 3 days a week from 7:30a.m-6pm. We just want someone we can trust will treat our son the way we do.
To take good care of my child and all his needs throughout the day while we are at work, changing diapers, helping with potty training, feeding him, playing games with him , occasional trips to the playground.

We have a lovely family consisting of baby infant twins (6 months) b/g and a 2 year old boy who is very active. We take pride learning and reading and keeping toys and books orderly. Nothing is more important than safety. We are also trying to instill loving discipline (e.g., time outs) and routine eating, sleeping etc. We are a happy bunch. Mother is an attorney and father an investment banker, but both very down to earth. We want our children to be around loving caring caretakers who will easily take instruction yet work well with autonomy.
Duties would include bathing, diapering, feeding the children. Preparing bottles, preparing meals for toddler, kitchen clean-up. Laundry for the children, general tidying of the childrens' room, tidying of and putting together of toys at the end of the day. Hours would be 9-6 M-F. Also, playing with children, taking walks to park etc. My 2 yr old will have a pre- school at least part time and so will only be there part of the time. Other basic and customary duties of a nanny.
