We live in Malahide Co. Dublin, IRELAND. Malahide is a special village in north county Dublin. It is on the coast and has a lovely beach, marina and a particularly good village atmosphere. Malahide is 10 min drive from the Airport 30 min drive /train/bus from city centre. It is a very popular spot to come to eat, have a coffee or shop on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. It is frequented by tourists all year around. . It has lots of facilities and sports clubs including the famous Malahide Castle and gardens Dublin city is 12 kilometres from our house there is a train station 2 min by car with a very regular service to the city centre and to Malahide village I work part time in an Insurance Company. My husband is a company Director and works near the airport... Fiona who is 9 years attends the local school from 9am until 2.30pm from Monday to Friday. Niamh who is 7 years and Maeve who is 5 also attend the same school. Ronan aged 3 years attend Montessori school 3 days a week. The aupair will be required to care for the baby 2 days a week sole charge. All the children love swimming and are at various stages in lessons to training 2 days a week for Fiona. The girls go to Irish dancing. Niamh goes to Judo and Ballet and Fiona learns the piano. We would require you to help get the children ready for school in the morning, however they are quite independent and can do a lot of the dressing themselves. Duties include folding clothes and putting them in the children’s bedrooms; assisting in the preparation of meals and cleaning up afterwards. Encouraging the girls to do small chores like putting dishes in dishwasher and emptying ,clearing the table after meals. Helping the children tidy away their toys and playing with them as required The hours per week would be approx 40 hours a week We will pay you a pocket money of 160 – 180 Euros We will supply you with your own fully furnished bedroom. The weekends will be free so you can explore the area, go into the city but you are welcome to participate in family activities if you wish. We have a holiday home on Achill Island co mayo (on the mainland) in the West of Ireland and normally go there once a month. You are free to accompany us or to stay in Dublin if you prefer. I spend a few weeks there throughout the summer and would need your help with the children then... It is a very beautiful place with fantastic beaches, mountains, walks and lots of cultural activities especially during the summer. Our house there has 4 bedrooms with a large open plan living area and you would have your own room and would have free time to explore the area and the nearby country towns. We are a very fun loving family and enjoy life, our main priorities are that our kids are safe and have fun and enjoy life. When ever I get a chance I Iove to walk on the beach and swim in the local pool. We like getting out and about with the children at the weekends. We have lots of family close by so they help out with the children and we spend time together often. We would very much like you to enjoy the children to play, and have fun with them and in return we will treat you as a member of the family. Regarding hours of work I am flexible and will accommodate any activities the au pair may want to do as far as possible .I like the au pair to be happy and I think a social life is very important for her to enjoy her stay here. mon & teus drive girls to school collect them from school do homework give them dinnerand clean up afterwards also luandryfor children.These days I work .Wed, Thurs & friday 8.30-10 am help get children ready for school , luandry clean up after breakfast . 3-8pm amuse younger children help prepare dinner and get the children to bed .These days I stay at home and do tjhe driving and bringing the children to after school activities. Week ends are free to go out with friends and explore the area and take trips down the country. Evenings are free after approx 8-8.30pm Though you will have to baby sit one night per week .If there are particular classes ,activities the au pair wishes to partake in I will try to ACCOMOPDATE her . I like my au pair to be happy and have interests and social life outside the home and encourage this as much as possible . We have a holiday home in Achill in West of Ireland we go there once a month for weekends and for longer ion Summertime .The au pair is free to accompany us or to stay in Dublin.
