Happy, contented children with good routines. The area we live in is very family friendly and there are lots of activities for small children. Dad looks after the children on a Monday and Mum on a Friday. We do not eat meat, but do eat fish - the children are both very good eaters and will try most new things. We are an affectionate family and the children are used to lots of cuddles. We are also strict, however, on good manners and behaviour. All the family are keen on books.

Lovely English family with three little ones - Oliver (aged 5), Poppy (3) & baby Cicely (1 yr) We have 3 lovely and very good children (Oliver - aged 5, Poppy - aged 3 & baby Cicley aged 1yr). They're all extremely good at eating and sleeping!! Oliver loves hands on playing - making models, playing with his train set/ lego & anything that involves construction. Poppy adores painting, drawing & ballet dancing! Cicely plays with them both. We visit local farms, the library, play areas & car museums. We live in a big Victorian house (6 beds) in historic Co mpton - a picture-box English village that's 7 mins drive to Guildford & 5 mins from lovely Godalming. Both are very historic and interesting towns just 30 mins on the train from London. The surrounding countryside is beautiful but yet we're so close to the towns that it's a perfect combination. We have a beautiful 1 acre garden that's just wonderful in the summer. We have had a nanny for 3 1/2 years & now have a very nice girl from Columbia who helps us but I think we need a mother¡¯s help. The key attributes we're looking for are someone who's calm, caring, organised & enjoys cooking with fresh ingredients - I love cooking & enjoy sharing my recipes. They would need to drive in the UK & we would insure them for our Mercedes estate to help with school pick ups. I (Mummy) work from home as a writer but also go filming for the BBC TV. Daddy (Tom) works in London. Not much else to add other than we're a very nice family! Also - nearly forgot, we have 2 cats (Blackie & Brownie) who are never seen during the day & only appear at night. During the week Oliver is at school all day Monday to Friday, Poppy goes to school Monday, Wednesday & all day on Friday. She also has a ballet class on Thursday. Baby Cicely has a music class on Monday. Ideally we'd love someone who could help with the school runs, help prepare the children's food, help with the daily laundry duties, do average housework & entertain one or more of the child ren while the others are somewhere else. You'd get w/e's off although we'd need a bit of ironing to stop it building up. Housework is the usual sort of thing - hoovering, dusting, ironing & cleaning to keep things looking clean & tidy. As Katherine sometimes works 3 days per week our housekeeper would need to look after children on these days. Obviously during term time they will mostly be at school but in the holidays all three will be on hand & they love to go on adventures and outings.
Helping the family Monday - Friday - Sat & Sunday off (apart from occasional babysitting). Mother works from home 3 days a week so helping with school runs, driving children to after- school activities, preparing children's food (breakfast, lunch & supper), keeping house clean & tidy, helping with household jobs like cleaning, ironing, laundry. Caring for children either 1, 2 or 3 at the same time. In the holidays taking the children out on trips to farms, museums etc & other favourite places.

our family are looking for a wonderful au-pair who has the ability to really be part of our family. we would prefer an au pair 24+ who is mature, self relient and can think for her self. our family are friendly, flexible and has lots of energy. we treat our au-pair with respect and expect the same from them. even though we live in a small village, we are close to some great shopping area's ie kingston, richmond and london. their are 2 colleges near by so there is an opportunity to go to some english class's and the train station is less than 1 minute walk from our house.
