We need an au pair, so we'll comply to the general rules. That would be about 5 hours a day and a day of per week as far as I know. We'd be happy, though, to talk that over in detail with the au- pair, since it depends on my working hours which vary a bit. The au pair should be there for our little daughter in the morning, pick our son up from school and prepare lunch for them. While Kathi sleeps, we'd be glad if she could do small household things like laundry and ironing and dishes (we have dish washer). She'd also have to grocery shop for lunch.
