Our nanny should look after the baby 1 or 2 mornings, she will have the other mornings free. During the afternoons, she should help me with the kids, play and fool around with them outside, inside, take them to lessons/sports classes, help me preparing dinner, do homework with them, tidy-up the rooms, do ironing. We will have a lady that will help with the housework during mornings. Ideally we are looking for a friendly, good-hearted, child- loving, fun-loving, independant, active nanny that will really take care of our children as of own brothers or sisters.

we are a german american family. the children love to spend time out of doors. the house is open, somewhat chaotic (that's why we need you!) the mother works at home, the father works a lot. we eat healthy, fresh, vegetarian food. we love to sing and are learning various musical instruments.
The work day starts at 9. One takes care of the baby, the big kids are at school. There is some light housework, cooking, laundry to be done. We live near lakes and a forest and the baby likes to go outside in the morning as well. In the afternoon the others come home, eat, play, need on some days to be taken to their activities. Work day usually over at 3 or 5 pm. Some flexibility would be nice for me to be able to go out in the evening once in a while.

Dear Aupair! Our children are quite big now (14, 15, 19 and the 19year old daughter is mainly on a boarding school in England – and the oldest son is 27 is working and does not live in the house anymore) – so we do need an aupair/housekeeper who is a friend for the kids. all kids learn English and French. we should say some things about us and the Job with us. we have had several Aupairs in the last years, usually they stayed longer than a year. we would not be happy if you would come for less than a year. my wife is a lecturer for Archaeology at the University, I am a lawyer and Professor at the University. we live in a big old house with garden quite in the Centre of berlin, so it is easy to get from there to language schools (20 minutes) and any other event the big city offers like Museums etc. the children go to school until 3 or 4 p.m. so the day is free for the Aupair to go to school or University and take free time. in the late afternoon and the evening the Aupair usually looks after children’s homework, prepares dinner for them and the whole family, clears up the kitchen afterwards, and looks that they go to bed, at 9. p.m. they should be in bed more or less. so your job would be mainly late afternoon and early evening. we have a life full of events and travel, so sometimes we would be happy, if you could join us (for instance may be to italy in the summer), or if not it would be fine, if you could look after the house, while we are gone. for the heavy work in the house we have a Housekeeper and a Gardener. the Aupair has it’s own furnitured apartment with kitchen and bathroom. we pay a bit more than usually, that depends also of the costs of the language school. You get medical insurance of course. please tell a bit more about you, about your family, your education, the reasons why you would like to become aupair, your plans for the future. we are looking for an Aupair from the 15th of January 2008. best regards U.
