loving busy family with 2 active boys. they have inquisitive minds--very polite--love to swim. parents have little support from extended family so need some help at home with kids and general home duties. home situation is lovely rural setting on beautiful saltspring island in british columbia. would like someone fluent in english and spanish--but spanish not required! must be a driver as we'd like nanny to take trips off-island with the boys.
Agreement 40 hours/week; 5 d/week;2 days off Salary: $1425-1500 CDN (including room & board) Averaging agreement for Monthly hours; Vacation time-2 weeks Chores duties to include: Feeding, clothing, changing diapers, potty training, etc. as necessary Watching children in home and on play dates Taking children outside 1-2 times/day Taking children to/from Kindergym, park, other activities and supervising while there Feeding children depending on schedule—breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack Bathing children depending on need and/or pm schedule Putting children to bed if pm schedule Taking children to health appointments (doctor, health nurse, dentist) as necessary Cooking dinner several times a week for all family Occasional shopping/errands Housecleaning/keeping—approximately 3-4 hours a week Include bathrooms, kitchen, mopping floors, washing dishes, etc. Doing laundry for family and folding as requested within work schedule Willing to help take the kids to Church—Catholic—when husband not able Accompanying parent to child classes (e.g. swimming) or other events Go on vacations/trips with family Occasional overnight care Come out to dinner with us from time to time Expectations: Some flexibility in scheduling—am/pm Clean up after herself—cooking, bathroom, etc. Pay for own long distance phone calls If pay out of pocket for children’s food/snacks when out—to be itemized and reimbursed If pay out of pocket for gas or other travel expenses when taking children on a pre-approved trip—to be itemized and reimbursed May use laundry facilities as needed Hot tub use only with prior agreement with parents—as is off their bedroom Personal use of a vehicle only with prior arrangement—will deal with appropriate insurance Expect to eat during family times—though food/facilities available throughout day No overnight male guests--other guests to be cleared with family 2-3 days in advance
