we are a friendly easy going family who live in the suburbs of melbourne, victoria. we expect our aupairs to be friendly and accomodating of our needs. in the same breath though we are very accepting of any of your needs and can be flexible to accomodate you. for example if you give us advanced notice we can rearrange your schedule so you can go away for the weekend. we expect our aupairs to be like a member of our family such as a younger sister. an aupair must be dog friendly, and be able to drive a manual car on the left side of the road. you are responsible for your own room and living areas and need to keep them clean and tidy. you must be creative and have a love of small children. we would expect you have some formal education in caring for children, and if not would ask you to do a short course while staying with us. creativity is a must as our active child needs to be constantly stimulated.
3-4 days per week (probably some 1/2 days) which will be arranged more solidly once you've been accepted for the job. Most likely Mon, Tues, Weds and maybe Fri. You'll be looking after a nearly 3 year old girl sole care. 6 hours house keeping per week. Keeping the house tidy while working. Very lively, bossy little girl seeks fun creative Nanny. Very busy, happy, healthy people who are energetic, outgoing and love helping others. we are use to having other people stay in our home through the wwoof programme and have decided we would preffer someone more long term.
We are a busy energetic family running a business rehabilitating sick horses(see www.barhoofcare.com), we also breed and train horses, agist horses and teach prople how to care for their own horses feet. We need someone to help us out, wether it be in the home and garden, with the children or with the horses. We are very flexible and would like our nanny/aupair to stay with us as a member of the family. We just need an extra pair of hands to lighten our load. We are a young family looking for a swedish nanny to care for our children on a part time basis. We are an exceptionally happy and relaxed couple with strong family values and spend all of our spare time with our children. I work 4 days a week as a nurse on a shift work roster, so some days we require 9 hours from our nanny, other days only 5 hours, and some days not at all!! no weekends, and only occasional evenings are required. Accomodation, and board is provided in our home. we speak swedish to 2 of our youngest children and the 11year old is also keen to learn. So if your looking for an easy going family living only 35 minutes from melbourne by train or car then let us know. Hours are approx 20 hrs per week, so you will have plenty of time to yourself. Nanny will not be required from friday 3pm until monday morning so you will also have plenty of long weekends to visit other parts of victoria and maybe even australia as a tourist!! Nanny required to start from around January to March 08 for 6 months until September-october 08.

We have some pictures of us as a family on face book too. our Children are our world, so you would be privileged with our trust in looking after our precious monkeys (well they act like monkey's sometimes!) our children are very young and love attention. They are Not shy! they will want to play with you and ask you all about where you come from and perhaps even ask where your accent maybe from. If you have an earing in your nose or eyebrow, they will probably ask you if it hurt etc. They are kids after all! like all children they need supervision, but we want someone who will share with us their own stories from their school life, what type of music and hobbies with us. Our children love music. jasmine (our daughter loves “apologize” by Timberland and Please don’t stop the music – Rihanna . Simon our middle son likes alicia Keys – No one a. Phillip , our eldest prefers to play with animals, but does enjoy music too. He's really into science and biology. we all like classical music as well. Daddy plays the Piano and I want to learn the guitar. we are always happy to share our experiences and learn as well. therapists are on hand to answer questions and to provide support (for our son with autism/special needs) in addition to ourselves. Our son does have Autism yet he is very clever and extremely cute! Our other 2 munchkins are adorable as well! it is essential that our live-in be aware of our son's special needs and is willing to work with our team in making our life fulfilling and to being open minded. commitment to long term work is important in developing a rapport and relationship with our children. Therefore minimum stay we would consider would be 6 months. It will go fast! responsibilities of you, the nanny, would include, bathing, assisting in dressing, caring and looking after our children, meal preperation, school assistance, laundry, general tidying and cleaning. We have a housekeeper who comes in 3 - 4 days a week, to help keep us on track too. Taking initiative would be excellent, as well as willing to create a rapport with the children. Working on building a relationship with our children is highly recommended, as then they will respect and listen to you. some of the facilities around our home is a park, restaurant Tabaret/night club (across the road), swimming pool/gymnasium, shopping centre (mall) and movie cinemas. We have broadband internet as well. Horse riding school is about 15 minutes away by car. Beach is 10 minutes down the road (by car or bike). Running and rollerblading paths are just up the road. there are football and soccer ovals within walking and/or short car drive. If you like arts and crafts, I’m into that too, with pmc and polymer clay and dichroic glass. Hi, Our Nanny would have to cook basic healthy meals for children, dress and bathe children and prepare school bags, clothing/laundry, shopping assistance at times, reading books and supervising homework, cuddling children and playing with them. Tidying up after children. Free time is when other carers (already in place) come in to relieve (they are on set days) and whilst children are at school (usually during day). We are happy to negotiate extra time off. Just a note about being a Jewish family and non practising. We are a traditional family, so there might be some things we do, which may be different, ie we have a traditional friday night meal together. We will expect you to go to synagogue with us, so that you can look after the children whilst we attend the service. We only do this a couple of times a year, but as we hope to have you with us for long term, we think it fair to tell you up front. You will not be expected to stay inside unless you desire to stay to watch the service as some of our past nannies have found it very intersting. We don't eat pork or ham at home. We are happy to cater for vegans or any other diet for that matter. Our son has low gluten/lactose diet as well. Thank you :)
